Beautiful Beaches
When young Marco Polo at the age of 17 he set out from Venice with his father and uncle to explore the world by following the trade routes to Asia in 1271AD. The young Marco was so impressed by the Emperor of China Kublai Khan and he was appointed to the imperial court, and it was on an expedition that he first visited the magical island of Sri Lanka.

Their aim was to seize the tooth of Buddha, one of Buddhism’s most holy relics, dating back to 543BC but the expedition was unsuccessful while Kublai Khan had to remain unsatisfied, Marco Polo was surrounded with treasures on all sides.

With palm-fringed crystal clear beaches and stunning landscapes, it’s no wonder that Marco Polo deemed Sri Lanka “the finest island of its size in all the world”. It is shaped like a jewel, and boasts many riches, from precious stones to stunning landscapes and wildlife also won over by Sri Lanka’s spices gorgeous abundance of peppers, ginger, cinnamon — and a plentiful supply of coconuts. He also loved the linens, or buckrams, which he declared to be “of the loveliest and most delicate texture in the world”.

Now travellers can enjoy the island’s treasures in plain view. From Adam’s Peak, said to be the very spot where Adam first stepped on Earth after being cast out of the Garden of Eden, to the beautiful tea plantations, Sri Lanka is rich with natural and cultural marvels.

Whether you long to see elephants and leopards, spot the magnificent blue whale off the south and east coasts, or travel through Sri Lanka visiting its ancient cities, UNESCO sites and tea plantations and to make your perfect holiday a reality.

We are here with you to organize your tour which suits you and in both instances you can experience the country with the same wonder that Marco Polo and his family did on their travels centuries ago and mixing with present.
